Summary

NAKID Pictures is hiring a contract AI Filmmaker to deliver photoreal hybrid sequences for a longform film project. You will generate and integrate realistic AI-driven footage that matches existing editorial tone and archival aesthetics, while maintaining strict continuity, period accuracy, and cinematic credibility. This role reports to Dustin Hollywood (Art Direction) and collaborates with a possible liaison for the project as well.

What You’ll Do

  • Create photoreal AI-generated video sequences that blend seamlessly into an existing cut
  • Recreate “archive-style” coverage without copying identifiable copyrighted broadcasts
  • Match lens language, grain, compression artifacts, cadence, and era-accurate textures
  • Build repeatable pipelines for consistent outputs across minutes of footage for reuse if needed on project
  • Deliver shots with clean naming, versioning, and clear notes for editor handoff
  • Handle realism-first compositing: integration, stabilization, roto/mattes, cleanup, light match
  • Generate variations quickly and respond to consolidated notes on a tight cadence
  • Maintain continuity across locations, wardrobe, props, weather, time-of-day, and camera logic
  • Provide final deliveries in agreed specs (fps, aspect, codec) with QC checks

Required Skills

  • Proven photoreal AI video generation experience (hybrid workflows)
  • Strong eye for realism: lighting, motion, physics, skin, fabric, environmental behavior
  • Editorial sensitivity: ability to match documentary tone and not “over-style” shots
  • Technical fluency with at least one robust pipeline (ComfyUI preferred, other pro stacks ok)
  • Practical compositing skills (After Effects / Nuke / Fusion) and basic color matching
  • Ability to hit consistency across iterations (characters, environments, camera language)
  • Organized delivery habits: shot lists, naming, changelogs, asset management
  • Ability to pick up new software quickly and create workflows using it.

Preferred

  • Experience emulating broadcast/archival looks (interlace, noise, compression, lensing)
  • Familiarity with upscaling/restoration workflows
  • Ability to create realistic sports/action coverage with believable camera placement
  • Comfort working from storyboards, shot lists, and director notes
  • 3D fundamentals for camera/scene continuity (Blender a plus)

Deliverables

  • Test sprint: 3–5 shots to lock visual language
  • Ongoing: shot-by-shot deliveries with review iterations
  • Final: master renders + editor-friendly deliverables per spec
